scratchs front main seal mating surface
ok heres the story:
i found out my gsr oil pump had a bad pressure valve so i replaced it with a ITR pump brand new from acura. after about 2 days of driving i noticed oil on the ground, so i figured it was my oil pan gasket, but after a few inspections i noticed it was coming from the crank pulley area, so i decided to pop the pump off. once the pump was off i immediately notice the that the seal was deformed and the was a noticeable polished mark from the seals spring rubbing the surface. the mark is hard to feel on the tip of the finger nail.
now my question is will i beable to just install a new seal or will i need a new crank?

I would wipe is down, and try putting a new seal on
if it still does the same thing, I would take some very fine sand paper and sand lightly to give is a slight rough surface to seal to and get rid of the polished mark
I would try everything before replacing the crank
