how often do integras get stolen?
how often do integras get stolen?
i mean is it a high risk car?
i don't plan on modding mine or racing with it when i get one. i just wanna drive it. but i don't know if it's such a good idea anymore cuz everybody's telling me people try to jack it all the time.

well, in my local town(wooster) there is a 95 gsr intergra sitting in a guys driveway about a mile from me. he lives in a nicer neighborhood and 2 nights ago his gsr hood, shiftknob were stolen off it in the middle of the night. They tried to take the driversside fender but couldnt get it off. anyways...yeah they do. haha..
z51C6 what is a clutch lock... I've never heard of one... but I want my gs-r to be as safe as possible... I had a fuel cut off relay wired into my clifford alarm so I can shut it off with one of my aux buttons... but this clutch lock sounds like another tool I'd like to use...
i believe 3rd gens are the #1 or one of the top 5 stolen cars right now, especially in CA but i've heard nothing about them getting stolen where i'm at. guess it depends on where you're at that determines the risk.
Lock your car up if you have access to a garage.I have little punks that drive by in there civics by my house and stare at my car while Im washing it or working on it.I know what there thinking "Oooo B18C would look nice under my hood"
Evey Integra should come with one of these from Honda

integra's get stolen every day
of the top 10 most stolen cars categorized by year make and model, the integra had about 6 spots on the list, and most of them are GSR's

How do we know? To find out you'd have to go along the lines of compiling all relative police report since 1989 along with all relative insurance information, then create an average time.

does it not make sense? Whenever the introduction of the Integra was....we'd need every police report on stolen Integras nation wide to the preasent time. Compile a data base of what time and date the car was stolen, then add it all up and divide by how many were stolen. Then we'd know how often (on average) they get stolen.

the ratio is like 1 in 200 will get stollen. but it really depends where you live.
you dont need to be overly paranoid...
you should be cautious. unless you have a lot of stuff worth stealing nothing will happen to your car.
the thing is... no one makes posts about "oh my integra didnt get stollen today"
you only hear about the ones that get stollen cause thats the news not the ones that survived another day. you just have to look at the wider picture.
im really cautious about mine. but only cause ive had it forever. and sometimes i even wait for someone to come by... but thats cause im not a sane person.

thats why its called a deturrent, a thief would rather jack another teg two blocks away with no security than one with the clutch lock/ removable steering wheel/ pager alarm/ and kill switches dont you think. the harder it looks the more they are not going to want to steal it..

Like others have said, depends on where you live. Where I live and where I am moving to they are stolen quite often. I am always worried. I keep mine protected. If they really want it bad, they will get it.
3rd gen integras are like 9 out of the 10 top most stolen cars...its fucked, 1999's being #1 currently...not that it matters anyways. Within the past 5 months, my friend has had not only his 94 LS stolen, but also his 94 GSR that he got to replace the LS with in the same damn parking lot at his old job....

from where i live.. it doesnt matter what you have. they will tow your car. it been happening for the past couple weeks. for the last 2 week, so far i noe about 5 honda that been stolen in san diego. and they all have autolock, alarm, and kill switch, you name it.. so autlock can protect for like 15 mins or whateva.. still they gonna break
i'm preatty sure integras are the most likely to get stolen than any other car.
Mainly because there are millions are civics out there and everything on integras are upgrades for civics. So, there is a very high demand for integra parts which leads to the over priced b seris motors, which makes to worth wild for theives to steal and strip integras.
only people with garages should own gsr and itr's. i would only feel safe to park stock ls's on the street.

But, I believe the EVO is now the #1 stolen car. I didn't know people steal EVOs but mmmmkay. Probably joyriders rather than people looking for parts

I completely agree.
I think that ITRs would be much more stolen if their owners didn't have garages. Many people with GS-Rs don't have garages.
and if an LS is fixed up, they'll just jack it for the modifications.
