check engine light
i installed a dc 4-2-1 header today and my computer is throwing a check engine code, only thing it could be is my o2 sensor. i went and bought a bosch universal sensor, and im fairly certain i spliced everything correctly.... would not wiring it right throw a code?
hmmm... sounds like you didn't wire it correctly.... there's no need to really replace the OEM one unless it had gone bad... maybe it's throwing the code b/c it's detecting a different impedence in the 02 sensor circuit...
check the wiring again. i dont know if anyone else had the same problem, but ive tried 3 different brands of O2 sensors, and the only one that wont throw a code is the OEM honda one. all of them were wired correctly, and none worked. i have a jdm ecu also, that may be why the universals didnt work
If it's not the O2 sensor and you knocked something else out, you can read and decode your CEL here: http://www.eastcoastdelsol.com/columns/view.php?id=9
that's weird. but my check engine light went off after about 20-30 minutes of driving just now, i remeber when i had my nissan i hit a rock and had to get the down pipe replaced and they replaced the o2 sensor too, and the check engine light was on for a while, then it resets itself

well now, my check engine light is really inconsistant, when i start my car sometimes itll come on, and sometimes it wont *shrug* i have a 90 day warrenty on it, so ill check my wiring, and if the problem persists ill return it and get a OEM one from honda, since the colors on that match up there is no way i could wire it wrong.. unless im just a stupid idiot
