need help and opinion about what could cause this major vibration around 50+ mph
Car is a 92 civic hatch w/ b16a swap, and it was on the track a few weeks ago. During my last session, the front brake locked up, and I went off the course a little, didn't hit anything and I was also able to finish the session without problem.
On the way home I noticed this massive vibration from my gas pedal and the shifter when the car reaches close to 50mph. Speed under that seems to be fine or unnoticeable.... the only thing I can trace back was the little off course I had during my last session on the track.
- All 4 wheels still have the wheel weights on them, and they are still fully balanced.
- All engine mounts are fine
- clutch is exedy stage1, only 2 yrs old
Those are all the stuff I have checked out so far, what do you guys think I should try to do next?
What’s the chance I bend an axle?

Check for flat spots on the tires. You could have flat-spotted one when you locked the wheels.

ding ding ding ding
pull the front tires off and roll them on a flat surface. im willing to bet your flatspotted
I flatspotted at an event a few months ago, it sucks having a vibration for the rest of the day.

ok, i'll check out the tires, but i can't accelrate more than 50mph... the car shakes very violently.
check all the bushings (including the compliance 'radius' bushing), balljoints. And check the wheel bearing for play. also check the tie rods (inner and outter). and check your cv joints; may as well check the whole axle in this case (check to make sure both the inner and outter cv joints are not pulled apart), as well as the hub. If you have a dial indicator check the runout on the brake disc; this can also tell you if you have excessive runout which would make the wheel bearing suspect as well. Another thing to check is for a bent knuckle/spindle.
