Motor Mounts *I've searched*
Hey guys, Ive got a 98 integra with a fully built motor, b20 bottom end, b18b top end. I've got energy suspension motor mounts in the car and it makes the inside REALLY loud. I hear every little noise the motor makes and it vibrates a ton at idle. I know I could fix this problem by putting the stock mounts back in, but I know I'd lose some torque and probably rip them up when I step on it (if I decide to take it down the quarter mile). So I searched on here and all I could find was what mounts people are using but they never mention anything about how quiet they are. So I was wondering, do you guys suggest anything in particular to cut down on engine noise in the passanger compartment?
Thanks
Andy

there is no alternative....by the nature of stiffer mounts its going to transfer the vibrations to the chasis of the car instead of some of it being absorbed in the flexible rubber...but if the mount is flexible...then you will defeat the purpose of inserts and get wheel hop...its called a tradeoff...dont expect benz comfort when you want your sub 15,000 dollar car to make it down the quarter mile at peak times...
there are companys that make softer inserts and mounts
I hated mine to death, it chattered all the time in my old car
Ill keep them stock in my new car
it is a much smoother and nicer ride with the stock mounts
