Yet another Project finaly finished....
Well i guess noone local wants to play with the Hondas anymore..all the work im getting is V8 stuff or SRT neons, here are pics of a header and turbo upgrade i built for a local SRT4 and all i can say is OMFG did it make a differance...he has the stage 1 set up not much i know...but i made him a full 3" exhaust and custom IC set up and with 20psi it was pretty quick......well now with just 12 PSI its a good bit faster then it used to be with 20....You have to love Flow and air temps..lol......he is at 15PSI now and will try 20 in a few days when he gets his nerve back..haha.................Hal

yeah there wasnt any room for an equil length header and when you get to tthe nitty gritty most equil lengths are just that the tubes are aprox the same distance but the interior volume is off due to turns and curves.......if you talk to the old Indy car builders they made the equil length headers to have the same dampening effect on all tubes/pulses...there wasnt the majic voodoo of tuning for pulse wave...just to make all waves dissapate as close to the same during each pulse and reversion...LMAO i can show with a model better then try and describe....NA cars love tuned headers...Turbo cars make very little extra from them....not to say i havent made a few that had the same interior volume.but they werent quite equil length...............Hal
actually..yeah there is room for an equal length header. I know because I've done it...4 times.

spool up time sucks tho...

this style works much better on the srt-4's

and I bet you were using a picture of Matt Holdaway's manifold for your template.

Thats bad ***....... But with my time restraint (2 days) and the total invested on the build i didnt have room to do it..i made it go right back into the stock exhaust location (since i had already made it 3") adn i didnt have enough tubes to make it anyother way...the parts were dropped off and all i used...but aside the turbe header, and down pipe can be unassembled in less then 30 mins (the Vband clamps help alot) but it is very easy to get to anything in the bay due to taking off just the down pipe......Im big on maintinance so thats made first into the design then looks...if the car was in a race class that had parts spec then id do every little bit to make a differance but since its a street driven toy and not mine LMFAO the most important thing was servicceability adn getting it done so he could drive to work again..haha...............Hal
