I'm not sure.. But I don't think so??

I know the ATTS unit is bolted to the back of the block and I dunno if the previous (Closed deck H22A & A1's) blocks have the holes for the ATTS to bolt on..

I could of course be wrong... Just trying to help some..

thank you for some input but the non atts equiped blocks dont have the hole for the atts on it. the question was probably wordded confusing. i ment convert a atts tranny by using a non atts bellhousinh and diff to work on a non atts motor. basically getting rid of the atts all together by using non atts parts

why not? if you have a h22 tranny with grinding gears and have a atts tranny with good gears could you put it together and make it work?

The bell housings are the same.

Non-atts blocks place the oil filter where atts related parts are supposed to bolt to.

You could get a type S engine, they came with atts.

i think the bell housing on atts has a bigger hole where the atts would go. i know all about the atts blockand and how they are different from non atts blocks. i wondering on the tranny. i would assume the diff is also different becasue of the attts.
i have a non atts block and a non atts tranny that grinds every gear but a atts tranny that is mint. im trying to get the atts tranny to work on a non atts block by using parts off of the non atts tranny. i guess ill have to spend the money and try and see what happens

sounds to me like you just want to put the internals from your base tranny into the sh tranny housing, or just replace the synchros on the sh tranny.
