Default D15B turbo question

What the hell is up guys, heres the deal. I've been in the honda scene for a long time now, but Im new to the idea of turbo chargers, specificaly for my d15b. Now I want to slap a turbo kit together for the little guy. The motor has about 140k on it and its obviously going to need some attention. Im going to change the head gasket and the plugs and Im going to check the valves and springs for wear and tear. Now here is the real set of unknowns for me. How well are the pistons, rods, and rings at handleing the boost?, and im not talking about 20psi, maybe 8 to 10psi. Also, would it be wise of me to have the intake ported or get a new intake? Im not looking for huge horsepower gains, just something more than 90hp or whatever I have now, maybe like 120 or 140hp. Im wondering if those kind of horsepower gains are even possible for this little motor? I want to take all the nessecary precautions because its has to run daily. If you guys have any advice for me I would be very greatful, I know you guys get like 10 of these posts a day and I did do a quick search but it wasnt very helpful. Thanks guys, it was either this or get a mazda miata but I want to stay true to my roots.

is it a JDM D15B? if so, off the shelf D16Z6 rods will work. I doubt it is due to the 90hp reference though, so with that said, I would definitely swap your engine to a more stout SOHC, like a z6/y8 or a d15b, especially since your current has so much mileage on it. these engines will allow you to run aftermarket rods, though pistons as far as I'm aware are not yet available for the d15b. you won't need to sleeve the block if you're only shooting for 140hp, but you will DEFINITELY want to turn the boost up, so plan accordingly. step one really though would be to stop posting here, as everyone here pretty much is a b-series bandwaggoner, and check out some sites like http://www.turbod16.com http://www.sohchonda.com http://www.d-series.org and http://www.homemadeturbo.com you will find all the info you could ever need
