BTW what cracking are you talking about? In an impact or did you have a part that cracked apart over time?

doesnt look pretty, but atleast it tells you what to do, you can do the filling, sanding, painting and buffing after the fiberglass is laid.

I built a monster truck body about 4 years ago for one of the Baddest up and coming truck teams.....they were moved from fill in to headliner in 3 weeks....
we first built a plug from one on Scotty Cannons Pro Mod bodys.....41 *******
i will scan some pics in so u can see some of the plug, mold being laid up and body removed................just remember the part u are doing needs to be PREFECT before u make a MOLD FROM IT.Once it is molded that is what the all will look like.Make the mold strong to.The mold for the monster truck weighs about 1000lbs has a steel cage it sits in so it can be rolled to aid in lay up and after 4 years its still perfect
here is a link to the truck in action

and its the worlds fastest monster truck..............
once u start on the mold u need to go i this order
1 wax plug
2 pva the plug(mold release agent)some people have used pam non stick spray but i dont think this is acceptable
3 gel coat
4 lay the glass as much as u think it will need to be strong then add 2 layers
5 let cure for at least 2 days before removing to make sure mold has fully cured

Similar post in another thread - IIRC Grassroots Motorsports did a couple of articles within the last 2 years or so on this topic. Basic info on creating molds, some material supply contacts, etc. Maybe check their site then track down some back issues.
