Will an ITR LSD unit fit/work in a B16 tranny?
you need a ring gear from a B16 tranny to make the B16 LSD diff work in a GSR trans.
they both have a 4.40 final drive but the GSR tranny ring gear has a different bolt pattern/hole on the ring gear so it will not bolt onto the B16 diff.
i just went through all this a few weeks ago...im using a B16 quaife LSD with in a GSR tranny.......its pretty hard to find the right ring gear......you gotta be careful on what you buy.

the b16 and LS transmissions have a smaller/differant diff. than the GSR/ITR
to put ITR LSD into your b16 transmission, you need a GSR or ITR ring gear (66 teeth)

An easy way to get the right ring gear is just to install a JDM ITR 4.7 FD at the same time. That is what I am doing to my tranny right now. Its not that much more $$$ and it saves you the time of sourcing the ring gear...etc.
