My car is a 96ek hatch and my dash lights are really dim.

I have no sound system hooked up and my tach,speedo, ect... are very dim and around my ac controls half the area is dim and the other half its like it not even eluminated?

Ive searched but alot of hits that came up were sound system related or there threads about the light not even working?

 

Anybody?

 

dumb answer but you dont have a dimmer controle **** on your cluster do you? has a light bulb and a gauge sign on it. i had that problem for the first day in my sol than i saw it and bam.... better but still dim and yellow, maybe ill get some new bulbs.

 

Take off your sunglasses at night.

Ona serious note, mine are little old too. I think the bulbs get dimmer and dimmer over time....

 

have you worked on the car recently? did this just start out of nowhere? have you checked the fuse box?

 

I just installed a stereo but that was cake, The stcok wiring harness was labled and so was the stereo's wiring harness.

I have NR-white face gauges and thought maybe that was the deal but then my Ac controls are very dim as well.

I do have a dim switch on the dash and its turned on all the way.

 

Check your alternator pulley belt. If it's loose, there's your problem. Other than that, check your grounding points. One may have come loose.

 

Im gonna check the alternator belt and see what happens.
