This is an old post, But I was google-ing and found it....

anyway, BP is GREAT gas. I read somewhere that some guy bought BP gas in south Carolina and it destroyed his engine, I bet he put Diesel in his GAS car, dumb ***.

I use BP every 2 weeks (1 $20-25 tank lasts me 2weeks :D) and I will never use anything BUT BP.

Basically I started off just getting gas anywhere. Then my friend told me about a lot of forums posts, about how SHELL gas was so amazing for your car, and that it was the best to buy. So I did. In my experience, I noticed the car getting worse and worse overtime while using shell. So I ended up switching to Chevron (with Techron) and that worked for awhile, but then my engine started performing worse. About 2 months ago I was on my way home from work, but was on E, and there is a BP literally right down the street from my work. So I stop in, filled up with premium and went on my way. On the way home I noticed the car wasn't bogging down anymore, it wasn't acting weird. So since then I have been buying BP, and just recently, I have noticed that my engine feels like it breaths easier, and that there is less restriction on the power it has. Its quite awesome. The cleaning solution in BP gas seems to work better than any other gas company, and it doesn't cause harm to the motor. I'm starting to see and hear the engine running as It did when I originally bought the car (8,000 miles ago) and I'm astonished.

I only have intake/exhaust with performance plugs and wires (NGK) and for the longest time I felt the upgrades were actually hindering my car. Now that I use ONLY BP my engine doesn't feel like its crying anymore. Its weird but when you get to know a car you can start to understand whats going wrong with the motor.....

I would personally recommend BP gas to anyone who has one near them.

Lets just say, with other fuels (all premium of course), 3rd gear from 60-100 took forever, just recently with my engine on BP, 3rd gear from 60-100 was like no time at all. I was on my local highway, well, getting on-to, and I was doing 60 in 3rd, floored the **** out of it and got 2 lanes over. By the time I was able to check my dash to see how fast I was going, I was already at 110, which my car NEVER gets to 110 that fast, I literally stepped on my brakes because I didn't actually want to go that fast. Every since my car has been running smoother, that and with synthetic oil changes every 1500 miles (I'm a speed demon, I hit vtec a lot, and don't mind babying my car) its just been a dream to drive.

Hope this story helps at least a little.

any brand name gas is usually good...just some stations are better than others.
if you have a b16, you are supposed to run premium 91 or higher!!

i got a d16z6 so it was tuned for 89 octane srtock. the guy who owned it before me then tuned it to mid grade fuel cuz it runs fastest with it. plus BP really has good cleaner in it
