I am having some problems getting the front LCA bolts to tighten back into place after removing and re-installing my Megan racing H brace.
My question is: Is there a nut behind the LCA that I cannot see? Because the bolts are not going in nearly enough.
I think I might have seen this nut in there, but there is no way to get a wrench in that spot.
Any suggestions are helpful, I have an auto-X this weekend and I would like to have them fixed.
Thanks guys/gals

I really like it alot. I bought both the c-pillar bar and that at the same time. Seems to really bring every thing together.
Although it does rub on the cat a little, pending on what header you have.

I also have the Megan H brace.
There is a welded nut for the front LCA. It's the same set up as the rear LCA, except that in the front, the nut is inside the subframe so you cant really get to it. God forbid you break the weld, cause then the nut is impossible to get to without cutting a 4" square in your subframe. Speaking from 2nd hand experience.
So anyways, just make sure the bolt is straight when inserting into the LCA. You'll have to twist the LCA a bit because it'll go through the front but most likely wont line up in the rear, so you'll have to twist the LCA a bit to make sure the bolt wont cross thread. And just keep playing with it until the thread catches. It helps to hammer the bolt through until it wont go any deeper, that's when you'll know that the bolt is touching the threads of the nut. At that point, you just that start turn it till it catches. Good luck.

It will snap when you bottom out. The H brace is strong but not strong enough to withstand impact. So if you bottom out too hard, the H brace will break and would probably break the welded LCA nuts off too.
But of course, if you're bottoming out you're too low anyways or your suspension isnt up to par.

If you have to cut into it, use a Dremel and try to make a clean square cut out big enough to stick a wrench in there. Save the square cut out. Then take your car to a shop and have them reweld the nut then reweld the square back into place. Should be fine.
Or just buy a new subframe.
