High rpm problems
We rebuilt the stock 1.5 for right now
it ran great when we started it up
now it idles at 2,300-4,000 rpm
the motor maybe has 150 miles on it
the timing is spot on, all the vac lines are right, plugs, everthing we could think of
any ideas help

Sticky throttle plate, sticky clabe, dirty IAC or the idle screw unscrewed itself.
Take off the manifold plate, look at your TP, sometimes they get so much gunk built up that they stick (my SOHC ZC did it when I first started it up after 3-4 years of sitting). Your cable could be sticking aswell, and easy way to check is if you know the TP is clean, the pedal still stays jammed downwards and can be fixed by pulling back on it, take it off and WD40 that ***** till shes loose.
Sometimes the idle screw will unscrew itself, did it to my SOHC ZC. Simply put some teflon tape around it and screw it back in, adjust (when warm) to where you want it.
