My engine started bogging a few months ago, so I replaced the ignition system...cap, wires, plugs, and rotor. Seemed to fix the problem. Today, my engine bogged around 7000 rpms. My gas light was on. Maybe that was the problem. Will low gas cause the engine to bog???

 

well, did ur car bogg after u filled it up w/gas? what car and engine u have and what type of gas u use?

 

I use premium..93...hasnt bogged yet...but I havent engaged vtec since...

 

wel, i guess ur car bogging is like a lawn mower, when ur about to run out of gas, the engine sputters then shuts off. I think its normal, when i was at a hill and my gas light when on my car felt like it had no power and felt as it was bogging, thats cuz i never waited till i was completly out of gas before and was my first time experiencing it.
