Crome requires a Chip burner etc and is not really convienent to most people that change parts often. That is the main reason NepTune is not sitting in my car right now.

thats why u bring it to a tuner and let the tuner do his magic

Lets say your IAT corrections are off, if you had a S300 or AEM you could just log in and adjust it. Crome etc you gotta haul your *** all the way back to teh tuner and go through all that bullshit. Crome if your broke, AEM/Hondata if you got the dough and like convienence.

I use Crome. I switch parts frequently. Crome is to Hondata as Windows is to Macintosh. You are paying the extra for Hondata for the convenience. Crome is just as capable, but the hardware can be a pain in the ***.

I wouldn't call the EMS user friendly. Unless you know what you are doing, you will mess something up.

Until Neptune is released to the end user, you will be paying a tuner everytime you want to change out a part. It is a great system, but without being able to tune it yourself, it should only be considered if you have lots of money and time for all the dyno tunes, or if your setup is complete and won't require a future tune.

What are your mods? If you're turbo, I would really suggest it unless you can afford AEM.

I am running S100 right now, but will be switching to crome here soon, because there isn't a hondata dealer with in a 5 hour drive of where I live. What's the point in having the best **** around, if no one can tune it?

A good tune never hurts, and IMO chipped ECUs are a waste of money. If you have the dough and plan on modding your car further Hondata is great. If you plan on just doing basic bolt-ons though like IHE, a piggy back computer like the Apexi AFC might be a better choice.

I think you should at least wait until you throw some more aggressive cams and a larger intake manifold on there before you will need a tune. The power you will gain with your current mods is not enough to justify the cost of an engine management system and dyno time for tuning.

i dont think you have the SLIGHTEST clue about what youre saying....Crome, Uberdata (not used so much anymore) etc have the SAME capabilities of Hondata...

But are a hassle to change settings on, my AFR's go off a little bit I can plug my laptop right up and go to town. Most dont have Rom burners and Emulators etc.

a good tune doesnt require that much adjusting afterwards unless youve added a part to the car...if you find yourself messing with a/f with a simple weather change...seek a new tuner..

ever heard of the ostrich?? it allows u to do auto tune, live tune just like hondata, and is the same thing as hondata is.

I am using crome pro with the ostrich and my car runs great!

As far as to the creater u don't need any engine mangement cause u have nothing that would warrent it, like others said get more aggressive things done, then look to spend that money

Exactly. My AFR's are right where they should be exactly how I tuned them with Crome Pro 6 months ago. Both Crome and Hondata have bugs, but they are both equally powerful in what they can do.

I was refering to manufacturer chipped ecus, like mugen, not crome, uberdata, etc. I've seen both used with great results, and you can't beat the price.

yes, its one of the best, but as always your engine management is only as good as your tuner
