maintence light
The maintenance light only means that you have driven 7500 miles since the last time the light was reset.
You should be keeping track of all your maintenance to make sure it gets done when needed. If you did all the 120,000 maintenance when it was due, then you can follow the schedule for 135,000 (which is the same as 15K, 45K, etc). But if you didn't do all the 120,000 maintenance when it was due, you should be doing that too.
Look in your owner's manual or the service manual to see what's included. If you don't have one, you should - you can buy them new here, or used on eBay.

Aye, that makes sense...hte 91 Civic doesn't have that feature.
I'm sure it's something simple but does anyone care to share info about how to reset it?

You're probably just pressing the button and releasing. Instead, hold the button down for several seconds (while starting the car). The maint light should come on solid and then go out.

Yeah i know where the button is, and i know how to turn it off.
I did it to my friend's LS and also all Hondas after like 2000 come with that.
Now, do you press, hold the button, and turn on the car until it goes out?
OR do you press, hold the button, and turn the key to the "II" position?
