ignition timing ussue with new cams
I am trying to set up the ignion timing on my 97 Integra after finishing the motor and it is way off. I know the proper procedures and have done them a thousand times but this is strange. Both cams are timed right (lines on gears and the TDC mark on pulley) and the distributer is maxed out. I can only get 6 degrees of advance. Now this is with the engine at about 1000 rpm but om my ignion maps i still have the timing at 16 deg at the coresponding area. My Power FC is thinking im at 16 when im not, i can even adjust the timing on the fc to set it at 28 base timing and it dont ping at all even with 10:1 compression. Did Crower make another batch of bad cams? BTW they are 62404s with Skunk cam gears. Any ideas or suggestions cause im clueless.
