Default Mugen Low-Down Setting.

Finally received the lowdowns, wanted to ask anyone here who has them on an R with stock rims and tires.

What setting do you use for the suspension, when using the R for street purposes.
I think the dial on each shock goes from 1 to 6.

What do you find works best front and rear? I will be installing them tomorrow, just thought I would ask.

And yes I did do a search first!

The shocks go from 1-5, 1=softest and 5=stiffest. Through my trial and error on the auto-x course I found that 2-front and 5-rear works best and also performes well on road courses. I also have the Mugen 26mm rear sway bar. This setting will reduce understeer. I just leave the settings the same all the time, there is no need to change plus you will know how the car will handle all the time.

Thanks.

I will use those settings - I also have a Spoon trunk brace and a du-luck bar in the car - so I wll need to experiment.

Thanks.

Those items will not effect the shock settings characteristics, they just stiffen the frame and keep the sus. geometry from moving. Make sure you get a good alignment afterwards. With these shock settings you will notice the front wheels looser than the rear through a corner with your foot on the gas. Feels solid. I love the "Lowdown suspension" on my ITR, it is a very nice upgrade. Look into the rear Mugen sway bar, 26mm, as it will give the car more rotation when you ask for it. I was also going to get the front bar but the guys at King said I just needed the rear bar and would be happy. I was very specific of how I wanted the car to handle and they steered me in the right direction. My ITR handles like a dream.

I do not recommend the front bar. You loose a lot of rotation.

ITR_0207 has the correct set-up.

If you are on a bumpy surface I would run 1 up front and 4 in the rear.

On the street I set my front and rear to 1 for comfort

Yeah.. the Low-Downs look as if they were meant to be in the ITR all along. The car looks as if it came from the factory at that height.

The drive is totally different, I am bouncing in the car everytime I hit a bump in the road....

Thanks BabyNSX for your perfect install.

So when are we going to take it to the track and see if Mugen can take on Zeal?

I knew your car looked lower, I suspected the car got slammed even if it was 3/4".

Yeah lets see which car performs better: Zeal or Mugen on the track.

hey, I think you guys have a unfair advantage, Mugen low dows against fully adjustable zeals???? I will sell my low downs and get the Mugen n-Zero's, now that would be fair... providing I could drive!

Finally the MOOGENS are IN. Finally. We can stop making fun now.

Remember Ghetto Racing modded his ITR, de-modded his car, sold his ITR, bought a RSX and modded it before those bloody Mugens were put on.
