Default questions about installing HIDs

i have an 06 type s... and before i get started on installing the HID'z... i wanted to get ur input from the people who've actually done it... do i NEED to remove the bumper and headlights for the install ?? also, how did u guys remove that rubber piece behind the headlight housing that protects the bulb ?? it doesnt seem to budge at all... this is kind of a worthless thread, but i wanted to get help before i started cuz usually i do things without reading upon it and always come across problems... appreciate it guyz

I think clubrsx.com has some DIY guides for HIDS with pics and all, it might help ya some.

yes you need to remove bumper (mount ballast under the housings is nice) and the rubber grommets just pull off.

But yes, as the other guy said, clubrsx.com has all the info you could possibly want on our cars. It's possibly one of the best dedicated car forums on the net. Well organized and a HUGE and active community.

^^^ thank u guys very much... i checked club rsx and did the install with no problem... i just hope my bulb doesnt move when i hit bumps... i used double sided tape around the bulb and locked it in placeso its somewhat tight
