My R is making funny noises upon acceleration?
When I accelerate in any gear (especially on the freeway) there's a howling or whistling noise coming from my engine bay. As soon as I let off the gas it stops...
It kinda sounds like the whistling that comes from an AEM CAI system.
I just got my car back for a clutch/tranny fix, and I just installed Azenis immediately afterwards.....
Could it be coming from the tires or did the dealership mess something up... any takes?
I don't remember hearing this noise when I first got my car...

Does this noise happen only on partial acceleteration, and only really noticeable in higher gears? If so, my car does the same thing, and the dealer told me it was tranny related.
I don't think I hear it when in first, and I think it happens in all gears, but it's more noticeable in higher gears because of the lower rpms (you can hear the noise rather than your motor)...
AEM or Injen sound the same, don't hear it at WOT, but partial acceleration. I like to try to convince myself it's a blow-off valve.

But would they make a noise only when I press the gas?
I mean it whistles when I barely press it and it stops whistling immediately as I let it off...

Hmmm, no they would just make it at speed regardless of throttle position.
How's the car idling? Reason I ask is I wonder if the idle control valve is stuck somehow. I know during warmup on my car there's a loud whistle, but when the IAC valve closes up some it goes away.

I have the same thing, does it go away when you press the clutch in? if so we are in the same boat, I will figure out what it is next month when I drop the tranny
The sound lets off IMMEDIATELY after I let the clutch off.
My idle varies, it's mostly at or around 1K, sometimes its at ~700-800....
