Noisy tranny. Doubt its the TOB...
My 95' DX coupe has a somewhat noisy tranny.
The noise is present in all gears, but not all the time. For example, the clicking noise I get when the car is in neutral, clutch pedal out, and goes away when I depress the pedal.
In 1st, clicking noise will get suddenly get louder around 4k or 5k rpm (no tach).
And in 1st and 2nd, the noise happens when I let off gas. As I get higher in gears, the noise is eventually drowned out by other things, such as wind and tire noise.
Oh, and sometimes it wont even happen when I'm starting 1st gear.
I know I'm probably confusing you guys, but when I upshift or downshift the noise is present when I push the clutch down. *SIGH*
Its not a grinding noise, like I said its a clicking noise.
Sorry If I used the word "noise" too much. lol.
I need your expertise HT.
(Used the search but I didn't really find anything specific to my situation)
