upgrading cams
when you upgrade to just stage 1 cams do you have to upgrade valve springs and retainers? also do you need adjustable cam gears or will stock work?
EDIT: lets put it this way.. what are the chances of me floating a valve if i dont upgrade the springs and retainers?

This all depends on how agressive the cams are & how high you are reving the setup.
I would recommend upgrading atleast the intake valvesprings to a dual valve spring setup.
Cam gears will help if you plan on having the car dyno tuned.
I would recommend you get a skunk2 / blox intake manifold if you don't already have one.

i will only be revving to stock rev limiter.. and i just want stage 1 cams.. what are my chances of floating a valve? i would upgrade to dual valve springs and reatainers but then i wouldnt have the money for the cams
lol
lol
if you run stage 1 cams you wont have to worry bout floating a valve. they wont be to aggressive. get some ITR cams man! those are the best! for N/A or boost setups. ive done both
