Default Custom Rota Wheels

Saw this on another forum.

Any one interested in trying to get a new wheel made specifically for the S2K? We need 5 people to come up with the same design and size.

I'm really likin the Rota Torques in sports bronze...so if 5 other people are in, we're good. We might need 10 though, because aren't staggered wheels the only way to go on the S?

M7 knock-offs in 17" and 18" size with S2000 offsets.

..or... MF10 knock-off in 18" size for S2000, and 19" size with a 2" lip for BMW e46 sedan offsets.

Not really a knock off when M-tec never marketted the wheel in the sizes I'm requesting.

It'd be cool to have the option of gettting those wheels. Even though I hated the fact that Rota knocked off the M7 and the MF10, I'm coming around to new way of thinking.

If the Rota's look good and perform as needed safely, then I'm all for it. BTW, notice that Rota has yet to knock off an American manufaturer....think about the litigious nature that could bring to the American distributor.

the hub bore size is not big enough, unless you ask rota to drill it bigger or it will not go.

YUP, any color, with or without a lip, in any size with any offset. . we just need 5 people to agree on the same thing and have one person request it. . then the other 4 add they're name

See....the dark side was just misunderstood. The Jedi only know one way...the Jedi way. The darkside is more multi-perspective. They know the darkside AND the Jedi way.

I'm not sure that I'd ever buy a Rota knock off, but if an 18" Jmag was made available for the S2000, I'd consider it. Keep in mind, when I bought my Integra, it came with Rota Subzero's on them. I also currently own a set of 16" Rota C10's that have seen time on both my S2000 and my Integra.

I only have the C10's because another local S2000 owner was hardup to get rid of them off of his S2K and wanted some 16" OEMs. I traded him straight up. The build is good...however, they are heavy as f*ck. They are great winter wheels for both cars.

If the JMags came out, I'd use them as winter wheels for the S2000. M7 like-stylin' and not caring about them getting pitted, corroded with the salted streets of IL...that's peace of mind.

BTW, sell me your M7's and I'll change my opinion in a heartbeat!

That is not our site, but thanks for mentioning our name.

We are working on a few inexpensive options for the S2000 already. We've been in contact with a few S2000 owners to go over popular sizes, styles, colors, etc. Everything was made with particular attention to S2000 offsets and hub bores.

For those not interested, we do sell "Brand Name" wheels as well. Rotas are not meant to be confused with brand name wheels, but they are a good, less expensive alternative.

I am deffinatley down for a less expensive alternative for S2000 wheels, because spending 2k+ just for wheels doesn't appeal to me, and just because they arn't JDM yO!, who cares, Im down for a nice set of wheels. How about some Grids, Attacks, Slips, D2's, and the boost especially...i wouldnt complain. And I understand you guys with the real deal wheels, and that should make you feel that much better to know that you have the real things.

Streets isn't even that rough. 1 half curb and it was done. I just love the fact that they're disposable, so there's really no heartbreak.
