? on the converting SH suspension to base
ok ive been searching around here and i understand that the shocks and springs on the Sh r different then on the base and that if u change the springs and shocks on the SH to what is for the base then u have more selection and u can do this. i also ive read u can only drop the SH ride height a little over an inch so the ATTS still works, so im thinking that the Sh is lower from the factory then the base(not sure about that) so i just want to drop the SH one inch and if i get lowering springs and shocks that r for the base will it drop the SH suspension car height one inch or right were it was. or is there something im over looking or looking into it to much? thanks for any help, and anything u guys r riding on
the SH's suspension is superior to the base model's. you do realize that as long as you change springs and shocks at the same time, you can get any of the stuff that's advertised 'only' for the base model...
yes i do but r the base and sh ride heights the same or not. cause say the SH is an inch lower and so i get springs and shocks that r for the base and r made to drop the base ride height one inch i would be right back were i started, Yes/ no? maybe ,, b/c i know i dont know
I have the Neuspeed springs on my 99SH which drops it about 1.7inch.. No problems yet with my ATTS just get it alligned and you will be fine imo.
I do however get an ATTS light if i run my spare or have a low tire.. but other than that with a 1.7 drop and ATTS it corners on rails. If you are freaked about it get a set of Koni's and some GC coil overs if you have a problem bump the perches up a but and it will all good. Thats the safe way to go if you are going aftermarket on your SH.
OO.. yea if you plan on going under 1inch make sure what ever strut you choose will handle it.. some manufactures dont recommend past 1inch and you will void your warranty and blow the struts out.

i have never heard of this before.
I dont understand why you would alter the suspension on the Sh when it is already good.
I have been running the nuespeed road race setup since 2001 and have not had any problems.

i still dont think anyone c what the question is here about converting to base from Sh will the height change be different, like what i wrote up before and the reason i want to do this TOKEN BLK GUY is b/c i need to replace a shock or a spring on the right side and i just want to do it all and give myself more selection with going to base model then staying with SH, i dont think it will matter going to base from SH but just wanted to c if anyone saw what i was thinking,

-all the parts available for a Base are available for a SH so i dont really know wtf you are thinking you need to do this for. If you are doing all the struts and springs it doesnt matter what you are going from just match a spring to the strut and have it installed. The catch is with the SH to run different struts you NEED aftermarket springs.
