I was searching in the inet, fot the led ABS in the dash comes on eventually.

I jumped the DLC and gave the code 81 that means the Central Processing Unit and ROM/RAM diagnostics has a problem:

ABS Indicator Is On With DTC 81

SYMPTOM
ABS indicator light is on with ABS DTC 81 [Central
Processing Unit (CPU) Diagnosis, and ROM/RAM
Diagnosis] stored.

PROBABLE CAUSE
ABS control unit malfunction.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the ABS control unit.

Anybody knows for what reason this happened? and where I can buy a new/used ABS Control Unit

My car is a Honda Accord 1998 EX

Are you sure it's the control unit that screwed up? I know on some Accords wheel speed sensors were the cause of alot of malfunctioning ABS units. But to my knowledge thats a totally different code.

well, I don't know about the ABS, but if the any speed sensor may said that the ABS control unit is blow out, I gonna check the each sensor, looking Moisture in the sensor.

what is the common reasons that the speed sensors present problems?

Because they are garbage on the Accords. They tend to break very easily. Personally when I go to paint my car the ABS will be coming out anyways, so no skin off my back.

 

thanks, I will change the four sensor ( is cheapest) And soon I will try to review the control unit and to observe the codes that present/display to me
