Dashboard lights go dark after radio installation - Help!
My car was recently broken into and my radio was stolen. I know I should have done it myself, but Circuit City had free installation for the replacement and after the installation, my dashboard lights go COMPLETELY dark whenever my headlights are on.
Circuit City spent about 2 hours trying to figure out the problem and they were completely clueless. They checked all the circuits, took the dash apart, reinstalled the radio, etc., and it still goes dark. The normal illumination is there for daytime driving, i.e., the indicator as to if I am in drive, park, etc, but as soon as I flip on the headlights, the entire inside of the car goes dark.
All the wiring through the harness to the radio looks solid. They did solder the wires together for the installation, I don't know if that can pose any problems.
It is a 1998 Honda Accord LX Sedan. Any suggestions? Help!
