so i was replacing the seal around the tail light and when i went to screw them back on one of the studs broke off.....it may have weakened due to water getting to it but oh well....now im wondering can i use an exstrator and get the stud out or are they designed not to come out at all and in which case i need to get a new light

 

I only have about 1/3 of the bolts holding my tail lights in and i have no problems in my race car doing 1.6 60 ft and 137mph. You should be fine with only one nut missing.
