need help rear bumper mount post rusted
so the area that the rear bumper mounts to on the quarter panel is wearing out and metal that the bumper screws onto is about to give out completely which means i will have no way to attach the bumper.....any ideas or suggestions on what i can do with this....anything i can put on the exhisting metal there to strengthen it....maybe jbweld?

The best way to fix it would be to have a welder cut off the decayed area and replace it with fresh sheet metal. Try checking with a local body shop unless you know someone that welds. (As in, mig welding, tig welding, NOT JB welding.. LoL)

definaetly the best way that i've been doing it is cut the old rusted metal out and MIG welding the new metal in. One of my friends dads works at a body shop and they have also been using a two-part epoxy to mend the metals together. He said that there is alot less grinding and chance of body warping from the heat of welding. I'm actually getting ready to try the epoxy way on the rear quarters.

well the piece hasnt broken off just yet so i use jb weld in the mean time to reinforce it and im gonna see how that holds up now
