Default Steering Wheel Compatibility

Just a question for someone who may have done this before. I'm about shave the emblems and replace the front one with a Honda One. Does anyone have a pic of a 01-05 Civic steering wheel and know if it bolts right on to the RSX (and works properly)?

Alright, now I know what they look like, does anyone know a part number or something I can use to buy the steering wheel center piece? Or somewhere online that sells it? I can't call the Honda Dealership here now, there already closed.

that center part is the airbag, call up honda and order the airbag of an ep3 civic and install it in ... or you could just go jidmmmm and buy a authentic JDM steering wheel from passwordjdm.com for almost the same price. airbags from the factory might be kinda pricey

the wheel out of the EP3 will connect right up with no problem. Not worth the price for an emblem swap unless you can get it used from someone who did the JDM swap for the red emblem wheel

The only reason I'm not trying to get a JDM one is because I don't want the red stitching on the steering wheel. I'm not going for an all red "full jdm" interior or anything like that. I just think changing the silver "A" on the steering wheel with a silver "H" would be different and still look relatively simple.

Because there are no Acuras anywhere else.

Years ago, Honda had upmarket vehicles to bring to the US, but they knew that the typically self-absorbed and vain American carbuyer wouldn't pay upmarket prices for Honda-badged cars. So, they started the Acura brand.

As far as rebadging RSX's with the "H" emblems and Integra nameplates, it's also like paying homage to the car's true JDM roots.

The funny thing is that Japanese DC5 owners (and owners of other Hondas that are sold as Acuras here) sometimes get the "A" emblems for their cars.

it all comes down to, all it is an acura or all it is is a honda, u want to be different, and have something u dont have (acura dc5 - u want JDM, rebadged - honda rebadged cuz u want an acura)

If you buy the airbag from Honda, expect to pay a whole lot. Your only choice for an H emblem is from a Civic Si. You'll need the airbag plus the steering wheel. The JDM airbags are different and will not work in our USDM/CDM cars. I had an EP3 wheel in my old DC5 a couple of years ago.

The red emblem is actually a decal that masks the black background. It came with the wheel when I bought it and I think you can get them on eBay.
