...buncha Spoon bandwagon ****** I'll give credit to Spoon where credit is due, but the I cant give the nod to their hood. Its okay, but so expensive. Although the 1x1 weave is nice, the clear coat is poor. If you're spending that kind of money, JUN makes a nice one that I've never seen in the US.... but dont get the INGS/BuddyClub hood, that ones wack

I agree that the SPOON hood does lack the proper coating to protect against everyday UV light. I've had mine on since 98 and it's looking pretty rough now. I need to have it sanded down and recoated to get it to showroom condition again. But I can say that in terms or overall quality and structure, it holds up very well and the fitment is great! Would I buy another, yes!

where in MD are u located? well here's my CF hood from carbon creations. i think it fits REALLY well. but with that being sed. it's my second because the first hood they sent was poorly made and flew up and hit my windshield/sunroof....sigh. now if i could only get my car to fit my hood instead of vice versa! =P

Well, I've had a VIS hood and it was the best hood I have ever seen, fitment was PERFECT and clear coat and weave was AWESOME!!! I haven't seen Seibon's or Varis's hoods but so far nothing has compared to VIS. I'm currently looking for another CF hood since mine was wrecked. VIS

what? they don't make hoods the dc2, only dc5. and ings is some of the best quality there is. you make it sound like they are the same thing.

i'm planning on a varis once i get my front end. it's not listed on http://www.varisusa.com though since it wouldn't get that much attention...probably around $900 but you'd have to wait 3-4 months for it.

no one mention "Shift"??

I do agree that the SPOON hood does lack the proper coating to protect against everyday UV light. after my experience with Civics Hatches Spoon rear wing.. it gets REAL rough after 2 years. no matter how i wax it it still looks like ****. now i have to find a place to re-coat it. god damn 400 bucks wing.. but it fits perfectly
