Ok, I just got the tranny tonight.

It's a Y1 w/ LSD.

You will need a clutch for a 90-91 integra. The spline counts are different from 90-91, 92+

Also here's a suggestion for a clutch, http://www.clutchspecialties.com

I picked up a 6 puck unsprung disc, with a heavy duty PP, basically a stage 3 clutch. the amount of chatter is very minimum. Got it for $250, including release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool

I tried a 91 and a 94 clutch on it, and they both seem to fit sloppy hehe.

The sticker on the tranny says Y1-XXXXX or whatever. I was told it was from a JDM integra xsi or whatever, but I thought only the YS1 came in the integra? I thought the Y1 came from a B16 CRX. It would be stamped YS1 if it were one, right =P

Y1 came out of the civic, the S1/J1 came out of the 90-91 integra rsi/xsi and the YS1 came out of the 92-93 integra xsi/rsi. That is what I have heard. As for the clutch I am not sure. Since you said you tried a 91 integra clutch I don't know since that is what I would have suggested. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help on the clutch situation.

From what I have learned recently, the 89-91 Integra has a 25mm spline and the 92+ has a 26mm spline. They both have the same number of spline teeth. For the Y1 you will need the 89-91 clutch kit. Also, it is the disc where the problem is; they both share the same presure plate and release bearing. At least this what I was told by clutchcity online. Here is the link:

The pressure plate is the same, the diffferences are the clutch disk and release bearing.

I got an ACT from modacar.com, and I said a 90-91 teg clutch is what I wanted. I mentioned that I was doing it for a b16 cable swap, and they called me back to verify that I said that. They ended up giving me a different clutch than what I originally thought I needed. The clutch they gave me seems to work fine, but I havent really driven the car yet.

Ok, then I need to pick a new clutch. Everyone likes clutch specialties.. I had an ACT XTSS in the car before and I really liked it. I want something similar.
