Default Civic Overheating?

Hello everyone. A newbie here looking for your guidance. I have a 95 Civic LX 4/DR with a maintained 140,000 trouble free miles. Just recently while sitting in traffic I heard a fan kick on (It's pretty loud). Now I was used to this on my older Cavalier, heats up and fan cools it down, but I have never heard the fan come on in any Honda that I have owned (3). There is no leaks, radiator is full, temperature has not moved but seems to get to operating temperature a little faster here lately. Any suggestions as to what this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

haha... trust me you know if your civic was overheating... !! if your sitting there and it doesnt go past operating temp then your fine.. but if you want to take safety percautions... you could have your thermostat changed, maybe a new fan... and/ or have your eniter cooling system flushed..!! jsut to be on the safe side...
