Default help please..

I've got a d15b7 in my hatch... I may end up having to change the tranny in the car (sounds like the old one is about done) ..

What would be the best choice for a replacement d series tranny? (would like to eventually swap out the b7 for a z6 and go turbo) I understand the ZC requires some modifications to work. Would the 96-00 EX (SI in Canada) Tranny be the best? (Stronger forks/good gear ratio/good final drive from what I've read)

Someone who knows what they're talking about help me out please...

Your first priority would be to get a 96-00 EX tranny. That will make your car slightly faster because of the shorter gears, specially in a light hatch. And also, the 96-00 trannies are stronger because of the steel shift forks (they are aluminum in the 92-95s) so they take more abuse. If you can't get that, try a 92-95 EX tranny.

edit- you are in canada so 96-00 ex = d16y8, 92-95 ex = d16z6
