who has AUTOLOCK???
if you have it, tell me your experience or why you have it
if you don't, why not pay under 100 bucks for something that COULD possibly save your car if they don't tow it away

I have it I payed 60 for it. I put it on the clutch and there is no way that you can press it down to start the car. The only way they are going to take the car is if they bring a flat bed. I know someone here in the ITR froum had someone try to take his car. He hd the autolock and they where not succsesfull in taking the R.

Autolock and club and alarm and secure garage......stolen ! (Not towed!)
Autolock slows a good thief for about 10 - 20 seconds
Club slows a good thief for about 3-5 seconds
Alarm slows a good thief for about 10 seconds to a few minutes
Lo-jack recovered the car in a few hours.
I am not saying to NOT by security devices, I am just saying, layer your security, by a hood lock and kill switch with the above devices and pray. Just realize that your car is more secure, but not invincable to theft.

Is kill switch really helpful in preventing thief?
What keys things I need to know in order to do a good installation?
(I post this in the security forum few days ago but no one replies...)

The Kill Switch like any security device may work to prevent theft or may not work at all. No device will prevent theft. The key things for a kill switch installation are just the obvious. Place it where it is not easily found but still easy to use. There is no reason to go into detail here to alert thieves on good places to place kill switches, so just use your common sense and you will be able to get one installed correctly. (please don't IM me and ask, you will be able to figure something out.)
As stated above, just layer your security devices and pray that nothing happens to you. I love my ITR, but I am not going to make my life miserable worrying about the car. If it gets stolen, oh well, I had fun, as long as I am still alive, no problems. I'll just move on to the next performance car.

Autolock didn't work for me. If the thieves want it bad enough they will take it. Layering the various security items is the best bet!
Friend's 01 GSR stolen. Spray painted the window with blk paint and then torched off the pedal so the autolock comes off and drove away with a little stub lefted just to change gears.
A Multi-tiered security approach is best.
1. cover the SN front windshield.
2. club on the wheel.
3. autolock
4. alarm (dah)
5. ls door handles.
6. nothing visable in the car - i.e. remove, those, removable decks people.
7. watch where you park the thing.
8. dont advertise, with all those fricken stickers everywhere - mugen this, spoon that!
