You will have in the 115-120hp range, maybe less. You need more then just the head. You need IM, dizzy, ecu, gotta run the ODB1 and VTEC wiring. It's more work then the gain is worth unless you are planning on going better in OBD1. If you are just looking for a quick gain with no money, I'd get a D16A6 or SOHC ZC, or even just run MPFI. MPFI alone is about a 10hp gain on the D15B2, that and they scream alot more after that if you have an intake. I shaved 2 seconds of my 1/4 mile by going from D15B2 to SOHC ZC haha.

Noticeable amount... but nothing thats going to blow your mind.. you can do a search and calculate what your compression will be and hp gains as well..

Well, the "Best" tranny would be the one with the shortest gearing, lsd is nice too,

Anyway, I think the zc tranny is the shortest stock d series tranny.

Quite a bit since they are from japan and usually only come on swaps that you buy.

Try and find a Si tranny. 89-91 Si.

If you are doing alot of highway and care about MPG, use the 5spd HF tranny. You want good pep and gas mileage, DX is your tranny. You want fast acceleration with short gears and horrible highway, use the Si. I wouldn't bother with a ZC tranny, little bit longer gears the Si. If you want good highway mileage and peppy. Get a Si tranny and replace the 5th gear with the 5th out of a DX or HF, you will yeild good mileage on that 5th. I'm planning on DX 5th gearing my Si tranny.

Actually it will be about the same or slower Unless you have vtec working..(Meaning an ecu with vtec fuel and timing maps, and vtec wire(s) ran)

The reason its gonna be slower without vtec working is because you'll be on low cam all the time,,and not to mention you'll be using the same ecu
