why is the itr glove box in my car so weak?
because my vtec is too strong
no seriously though
no jokes, the other day i just opened my glove box, (actually today) and the whole thing fell, all my papers, pens, etc etc spilled... the black thing connector broke, looks like the plastic on the right broke
(i dont' understand, i rarely vtec ) seriously
must be acura faulty junk glove box,
anyone else have this happen, tis a simple solution
just wanted to rant about it
and see if anyone had this problem as well

ok how about this
if your glovebox breaks loose when you shift from 1-2 or 2-3 = glovebox wasn't made to handle the vtec

haha b2 has this problem when he accelerates. haha
mine never actually pops open but i don't think that it ever closes all the way--it seems like that little light on the inside is always on. it annoys me but i've never gotten around to fixing it. it's an easy fix but whatever...
Never happened to me before... maybe i don't drive fast enough?
The general quality of the interior in the ITR i think is pretty poor, but it might be to do with the weight reduction. Everything just feels so... cheap, besides the seats/shiftknob etc of course.
When i drive fast, all the stuff i put in the little pocket container thingy below the radio, will fall out. I don't know if it's the angle of the container or not but it impresses all my passengers cause it looks like it's the result of alot of g force.

mine never has this problem(probably cuz it's new), i don't think this should be happen as long as you don't pull it hard everytime you open it or slap close it.
My glove box pops open so frequently I consider it my built in clutch gauge. When ever it stops popping open I know its time for a new one. My coin tray likes to pop open as well. I can place a coin in it, shift to second and pop the coin out into the storage bin under the ebrake handle. Great party trick.
wow... mine used to do that and since the plastic hadn't broke and the rubber grip was still there i was able to push the stopper thingys(maybe they need to be tightened) well over the plastic tracks in the dash... with the light switch tube in place the latch worked .. what looks broke?
actually... that was til the accord drove into my passenger side door/ hinge pillar at 25mph... the door, glovebox and hood all jammed shut... should get my car by monday.. with everything all right.. that's a good idea.. make a topic.

i think i may have found a fairly easy fix to help with accelerating glovebox syndrome in the R...i'll post pics and let people know after this weekend's autoX.
