On my motor the oil filter is hard to get at (06' Si)...its easier for me to take off the passenger side wheel to get at the filter. I dont know if your filter is in the same place though. Other then that its a pretty easy job.

Yea, you do need to take you your pasgner side wheel out before you jack up the car, it's much easier to get to your filter!

Do you recommend using Synthetic. My car is still under warrenty and honda will give me free oil changes so I just went and had my first one a few days ago but they said that they didn't use synthetic. They used genuine honda oil. Should I just get it changed somewhere else and get synthetic?

The OP has an EX. That's not the case for the R18. The filter couldn't be easier to get to.

I had mine done at the dealer, synthetic. The Si i hear is harder to change yourself because the filter is in a rough spot. The R18 motor is in a better place.

Also, DUDE! Your headlights are sweet... im PMing you asking about them!

some dealers are lame and will refuse to put synthetic in. even going to claim it voids warranty. which is bullshit.

show em the 06 manual. it will clearly state the use of synthetic is 100% fine.

i dunno how good it works. but i switched to mobil 1 and now i get 350miles to the tank, on 11gallon fill ups.....

before the switch i was getting 270-280mpt so I have no clue what changed.....other than the oil. for some reason i doubt it should change that much.

no...Royal Purple...its better even than Mobil 1...which is impressive. Oh and get a good filter...the Honda OEM filter is made to fit the car but I might try a K&N.
