i just bought a 90 ef with a b18a1 swap and it wont rev over a certain point what can this be?

 

its in LIMP mode, check the ecu for codes.

 

were whould i check the ecu for codes? and could it just be the wrong ecu?

 

Did it give you a check engine light?

 

yeah its on

 

lift up the carpet on the pass side floor (where the feet go) and count hte blinks that come from that little clear hole in the cover.

 

it goes one then brake then 6 kinda fast

 

ok, when you first turn the car on (while watching this LED) it will blink once to indicate it has power and works, then blinks 6 times.? if that is the case code 6 = Coolant Temperature Sensor.

this is the trouble shooting for it
