Default Feedback needed: Turbo XS dual stage boost controller

I am trying to decide on a boost controller. I am going for simplicity, and functionality. What are your opinions on the Turbo XS dual stage. I like the design and the ease to switch from low to high boost. Any downside to them? Thanks.

I had one and it worked great for years. Honestly its as simple as you can get and two stages of control. I only opted for my AVCR cuz friend basically gave it to me.

So can you run off the wastegate spring, and also have a low and high boost setting? I guess what I am asking is, can the boost controller be turned off like an electronic controller?

The amount of boost ran can be adjusted on the boost controller, more specifically for high and low. The first stage is a "daily driving" or "low" boost setting, where as once you flip the switch you turn on the "high" boost setting.

correct, only low and high. Not off the wastegate unless you keep the 1st stage closed.
This is another determining factor of me going MBC. I have 3 stages per say now and rpm, speed and gear based control.
Aghain though it is a great controller and I wouldnt have tossed mine if I didnt get an AVCR for free. Mine held like a gem as far as I took it. I only took it to 2 bar. Im sure it would have held more easy

The difference between the low boost setting and the high boost setting can only be 7 psi if I remember correctly. For example, if you set your low boost setting for 10 psi then the high boost setting can only go to 17 psi. Hope this helps.

i just recently purchased the turbosmart dual stage, its a little cheaper than the turbo xs one. it is a quality piece two *****, no allen keys.. nice simple boost controller. i havent gotten a chance to play with it yet, so no first hand info, but just giving you another option to check out in the dual stage market.

the way the dual works is the first stage is over or at your spring and second is above. there is no way i believe with a dual stage to switch back to your wastegate spring if your first stage is above it. if you want the option to go back to your wastegate spring psi, then a single stage(wg spring setting and high setting) might be your answer.

Incorrect. I ran low boost at 1 bar off the wastegate and high boost at 2 bar. And that was barely cracking the thing open.
