ls ecu and vtec.... ?

ls ecu and vtec.... ?
ok i have everything for my turbo... i am going to use my firend socked ls ecu... with a chip for my set up.... if i keep my vafc hooked up can i still crack vtec on the ls ecu... any one know.... (i plan to get my p30 socked and chiped but i will need to run something for a week or so...)

If the LS ecu isnt converted to VTEC then no it wont work. The VAFC can only change the points of VTEC and some fuel curves but cannot activate VTEC alone. If you hook your VAFC up with the LS ecu it wont read VTEC at all.

cool thx for the info... i know i need to get my p30 socked and then chiped... i gess i will have to live with out vtec for a bit...

i just did a ls/vtec swap and im running a p05 ecu.. just lost to a sohc turbo lol.. not even buy much..
