Phoenix - Who do you have your R Insurance with?
I just graduated from a MBA program and might be shacking up with the parents in Tempe for a while and looking to work in the area.
Anyhow, I asked my Dad to see how much it would be to put my 01 R on his policy, hopefully saving a few $s.
Farmers quoted him like $4k a year
I am paying like $1800.

I shopped around everywhere. The best I had was with Amica for $1500 a year, no tickets no collisions. Living within the city limits of Phoenix itself though raised me to $2200 a year. As long as you stay in Tempe or one of the surrounding towns you will have lower rates. Mark (goern-r) also has Amica and he paid the same $1500 as me until he moved to central Phoenix. Now he gets ***-raped on insurance even though he has a garage in a nicely secured, gated complex.
The saddest quote came from Geico. They told me it would be $1600 (when I was living in Phoenix) which was better than Amica's $2200. I said I wanted to sign up for a year and they said "Oh, the $1600 is for 6 months." Jeezus Kryst that's high...
Amica is great to deal with, but I think they only take drivers with clean records. Good luck with whomever you chose.
you lucky ppl...im 19 and got one ticket last month with lexus. My full cover price is "$2000" for "half year" . i hate it...but still like my car...

my itr was 2400 a year. but i just found out recently that was a focking typo!!! they put the insurance under my little brother (19) instead of me (23). i set them straight and now my insurance is 1600 a year which is alot better
. they told me when i turn 25 it'll be 800 a year, wow what savings huh??

today farmers quoted me $636/month.. i been looking for better rates cuz my premium with aaa went from $1300/year to $1900/year cuz i put in my first claim that paid out close to $10k and where i moved(almost 12 miles away) increased the rate almost $300(even tho the car is much safer parked here)... i got some quotes online and got a hold of a couple companies that had better rates/ same coverage but i gotta find out more about them first.. also if i transfered the title to my grandmother she could add my(her) '01 py itr and only be paying $800 for two vehicles with me as a driver..

State Farm also covered Bryan's track incident in his ITR a while back, to the tune of $4000 damage. I just don't think you can beat State Farm.

I'm paying a little over $1700 a year through Allstsate, but thats for my Type R and my wives Subaru Outback. I was told from my agent that age and marital status(believe it or not) have alot to do with it.....I'm 29, Wife is 30, weve been married for 5+ years.....once I turned 25 my insurance dropped by 30%.
