Default Engine rebuild - is this head trash?

I am in the prosess of rebuilding a D16Z9 (same as Z6) for a friend of mine.
One of the bearing surfaces on the head seems a bit iffy...
I'm not sure if it can be used, or if we just have to throw it away and get a new one.

I'm not sure if it's possible to tell by these pictures, but I had a real hard time getting the camera to focus.
I might have to try and get some better ones.

The cam cap has the same sctatch pattern. Cam seems perfect. Not sure what to make of this.

That is some heavy scarring. IF that is a cam journal then it might not be reusable because you do not use bearing there so you cannot adjust for removed material by using a thicker bearing. But you will have to just check at a machine shop. It is hard to tell from that pic how deep the scarring is.
