the other day i got in my car and started it up.... dove off. i noticed the rpms jumping around like crazy like jumping up to 4- 5000+ by itself while i was driving. the clutch didnt seem to be not grabbing tho. but then all of a sudden i got on the gas and the car's rpm went WAY low an the car studdered and it felt like the clutch was grabbing really hard but i was slowing down like i was downshifting! then all of a sudden it studdered really badly and then it felt like it grabbed and i got moving normal again.... What the hell was that? now i see my rpm thing doing the jumping thing sometimes randomly. the clutch is really new and is a clutchmasters stage 3 on a b18b. any ideas what the heck this is??

 

igniter in the distributor may have gone bad

was the engine actually revving up that high, making the clutch slip and stuff.....or was the tach bouncing and car bogging?
