Default May 11-12 @ Buttonwillow

Hey guys, I just had to start a new thread to see who will be attending the event with me, and others?

Im for sure going to go. Got a few things on order in preparation for this since this is my first one. Yeah, call me a newbie and laugh if you like but Im going to tape up my front end like that 360 I saw in the older thread. Where do you source "Racers Tape" at?

Attendees:

I would really like to go to one of these...but I don't know if I can afford it. What do you guys generally spend in preparation for it, and afterwards? Becuase I know that I will probably need brake pads and other misc parts..plus the cost of the running fee....

So my question is...what kinda ballpark can I expect in terms of costs to hit the track with all of you?

1) Im a little confused on what the price is? 210 or 270?

2) I just bought some Falken Azenis 205-50-15. Primarily because I needed new tires, and also because of this event. $280

3) Im probably going to upgrade to a metallic based pad. I dont want a full blown pad like Carbotech or Hawk, etc. Maybe Performance Friction? ~$50

4) I just acquired a brand new HJC (Korean) helmet tonight. I know you can just borrow one but I think Ill take this up as my new hobby. ~ $125

5) Oil change $30 + HAMP filter (already have em')

6) Brake Flush, $20? I just bled my brakes with Valvoline Syn about 3000 miles ago, should I redo it?

Attendees

2) Hungster (in spirit)
3) B2Finity (if parents let him?! WTF LAME )

I think it's $210 for the one day and $270 for the full two days. 30 for oil change!?!? Crazy man... I'm still thinking if I should fully invest into this racing hobby. If so...I will buy a set of millenia wheel's with azenis.

That's cool...still a little steep for now...I have too many things going right now to put up 3 bills for one day....although I am sure that it is more than worth it. That damn front end is going to be the end of me I swear...

1) Im a little confused on what the price is? 210 or 270? *if u need school, 270, time trial 205

2) I just bought some Falken Azenis 205-50-15. Primarily because I needed new tires, and also because of this event. $280 *good for u

3) Im probably going to upgrade to a metallic based pad. I dont want a full blown pad like Carbotech or Hawk, etc. Maybe Performance Friction? ~$50 *try ebc green, they are good. other normal metallic pad get heat fade easily

4) I just acquired a brand new HJC (Korean) helmet tonight. I know you can just borrow one but I think Ill take this up as my new hobby. ~ $125 *also good

Chit, the event Im helping to organize is something I might not be able to attend! The new store Im working in, is not sure when they are going to open. They are thinking anytime from May 6-16

On the side note, what will happen if my front camber is like this:

/ \

and my back tires are like this

Okay, I'm going...but TCRA is horrendously slow at returning my emails and phone calls. I will only be attending on Saturday, and since this is my first TCRA event, I have to take their school. Someone posted in another thread that one day of school/driving was $215. Can anyone confirm this? I would like to mail out my payment tomorrow in order to register before the deadline.

What does it take to get the one day driving session to lower the price down a bit. It seems kinda steep.
