Opinions/suggestions needed regarding security.
Like a lot of you here, i am paranoid of having my car stolen, i've had a car stolen before and it was the worst feeling ever in terms of materialistic loss.
Anyway, as it stands right now, here is what i have security wise:
- Alarm with immobilizer (hidden siren)
- Twin hook club
- Fuel cut off
- Custom ignition shave (I won't get into the details of that)
- GPS/Cellular tracking system (don't want to reveal company, it's used mostly for commercial vehicle tracking). It also has a back up battery.
Now what else can i do to make it a bit more diffiicult? I was thinking doing dead bolts...anything else that i might want to do first?

well sounds fine but if they tow your car then most of that stuff is useless. a garage could help. since generally a car theif really doesnt need that much time to remove stuff
Try getting good insurance, that can save your *** a lot more.
And how would "shaving the ignition" help? All they have to do is pop it anyways?

If you have a good gps system or e.w.s with instance tracking. What are you worried for? You have all of the top levels of protection. There pertty much else to do except take the wheels with you. I put headlights and brake and tail lights kill on most of my alarms for customers that want to pay for the extra labor, this way if a theif was lucky enough to get the car started and I mean really really lucky there would be extra attention to the car if they drove it down the street. and if they were bold enough to wire up the lights, hard wire from the battery. There would be no tail lights. To do this would require the theif to put to much time into the car and would draw unwanted attention. But none of this would do squat if the car is towed. If a theif heart and life is your car forget about it. Make sure that insurance policy is up to date and that gps is working.
