I am considering a 4th generation prelude for a project car. What I was wondering is how much could I bring down from the curb weight considering I gutted the car. I would like to fully strip the interior, a/c, power steering, and any other form of unwanted weight. Now, I have owned a 5th gen prelude in the past, and I know the car itself is very heavy, I am assuming I would ne a lot of body work and carbon fiber parts to help reduce the weight as well, which I don't mind. Any estimate as to exactly around what number I can get the weight of the car to?
I would like to get it to around 2200 lbs to 2300. So I'm looking to strip a good 500 lbs. As of right now, this seems very very far-fetched, but I assume it is doable. Comments?

It's very possible as long as you don't mind compromising a lot of stuff and spending the $$$ and time.
Mine should be under 2200 very soon.
Here's a thread from 2/05 where I was at ~2275 and I have done quite a few weight reduction things since then----https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1156578

^ Aren't you worried about having your rear bumper support removed?
I am working with a firm in HK to develop a custom Inconel exaust (Catback). I contacted Burns Stainless. They want $30.00 per inch (3" diameter). I can get it in HK much cheaper. Also, I am looking at custom front and rear bumper supports. I am scared to run without them...
