Default Full-Race Crossmember Compatibility w/SOHC

Ok, I have the chance to get a FR Front Cross-Member for cheap, but here is the problem: It has no provision for a front engine mount and I was wondering, is it possible to weld in a bracket for the SOHC front mount on this crossmember, or am I S.O.L.?

I know with all four of my mounts, two of them being custom Jim-Fab pieces that when I hit the gas, the chassis moves with the motor, not that motor moves into the chassis. I love the FR bar for clearance, but I don't love the fact that modification would be neccessary to run it for my setup.

I know Innovative's x-member comes with provisions for the front mount, but if you can get a good deal on the full race go for it!

unlike the others I HAVE a full-race crossmember and d16. it works fine w/o the front mount. however, I do have MM inserts. The engine doesn't seem to move at all.

Change the inserts in your mounts and you will be fine.

All b series are using 3 mounts. My motor hardly moves at all.

yes and all your mounts are basicly solid...

i would never run without a front torque mount....and i have inserts..

now i have the innovative mount with a basicly solid front mount for my SOHC

Isn't the idea with inserts to make your mounts basically solid? Maybe I'm missing something here.

well if you decide to weld one on just make sure you do it with the right welder, is that aluminum?

inserts still have alot of room for movement it is by far not even close to being solid. even hasport mounts have some movement.

Either weld it on, or buy a Z-10 with the mount allready on.

I realize they move, but no where near like stock. A solid bushing is no different whether it's on a d series or a b series.
