problem wit swap

Default problem wit swap

in the middle of a Minime swap and my hoist just gave out so now im down to hands so how in the hell him i goig to get my engine in.
i thought about puttin it on blocks high enough for the mounts to reach and jack the car up and wit a couple of friends move it over top of the engine... cause theres nothing in the car no seats dash nothing like that but my friend dont think that will work so wat other things could we do to get it on the road tonite..

dont have the cash and its sunday so half the stores will be close.. . that i could get it from..

Then rmove the front core support and everthing attached to it. Put the motor on some 2x4s (or whatever) and on a dolly and slide it back into place.

You can also put it on a skateboard or something such and lift the car way the hell up and slide it under.

If you can find somewhere that rents a hoist, good luck. PLaces don't want to deal with the liability of something happening and them getting blamed for a bad hoist or something.

Your best bet is the raise the car up as high as you can and slide the motor from underneath.

Ive never had/used a hoist and have done 3 swaps. Just put the motor on some kind of stand with wheels. I used a bread cart. Jack up the car on each side slowly with jack stands under it until it clears the motor. push the motor under, align, drop the car down, bolt in, return to normal hieght.

yea i just got a couple of friends pic the engine up put it on blocks to it would be high enough and the pick the front end of the car up and move under it

call around and find someone wo has a hoist man,any motor swap process should be done right the first time not some hacked up cheap swap.....kepp it clean and jdm.If I were there I'd help,I love doin swaps!
