sup guys.. well my check engine o2 sensor code comes on when i drive.. i would say maybe once every 2 or 3 days.. and when i turn off the engine and turn it back on it goes off.. it only happens usually when i keep the gas pedal level (like in fifth steadily going 50mph).. is my o2 sensor going bad?

Its the O2 but i have a turbo and running pig rich! so no use of me buying a new one yet

 

any other symtoms? are you getting bad gas mileage, or feeling a loss in power, does your exhaust smell like gas?

 

Most likely the heated oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. Usually if the car is warmed up and held at around 3000 rpms, and the CEL comes back, then the O2 sensor is bad.

 

thanks... yeah.. i cant really tell if the exhaust smells like gas because its ususally when im driving that it happens.. and there is no real noticeable loss of power when it comes on.. then again i dont punch my car when i see check engine codes..
